Quatrain of Redemptive Awakening
Redemption - atoning for guilt
I never thought I would grow
old, I assumed I could
always keep it
together,
One day I woke up, became
dumfounded, I had a body
that looked like
leather.
At first I wanted to cry, then I
felt sorry for myself; decided
to remain in bed all
day,
I came to realize, redemption
is knowing, what life can
give, it can take
away.
