Single Mother - the lone parent


Harken!  I carry heavy burdens
no further than the smile
on my baby
child,

I work my fingers to the bone
for the sake of my existence
as I tame the
wild.

I pray to capture what is good,
pass passionate grace on in
one form or
another,

My struggle is universal, for I am
a conscientious interceptor,
I am a single
mother.
