Quatrain of Smelly Decisions
Smelly Decisions - those we wish to
take back
There was an odor coming into
the room, it was the smell
of innocence I had
left, years
before,
I was showered with painful
regret, from the decision
I had made and
never mentioned,
heretofore.
I closed a mental door, to keep
disgust from taking control
of my senses, before
I passed
out,
Unbeknownst to me, I had
chosen to live with foul
secrets, leaving the
rest of my life in
doubt.
