Quatrain of Sorrow

Sorrow - distress from loss,
grief, affliction, sadness

1.
I embrace my sorrow
with sated regret,
with whispers of
fatigue

I plan to skirt the
binding glue that
sticks to tortured
intrigue.

With laughter sidelined
for cause of pain,
my depth of
solicitude,

I hope to bury my sadness
in a grave that I dug
with hate I
obtrude.

2.
But agony of my grief,
the wilt of psychotic
flowers, just won't
heal,

Depression inflated into
balloons of agony, roll
over me like a
wheel.

For I shall not awaken
from my gloom, or rise
up from a devil's
lair,

I am crushed by the weight
of neurotic sorrow,
I can no longer
forswear.
