Quatrain of Swallowed Love
Swallowed Love - you took in one gulp
Forlorn to the tail bone,
sucked dry by
wine gone
sour,
Sadness over whelmed me
after falling from
my love
tower.
I had climbed to the
pinnacle of the lust
you once had for
me,
Falling, I watched you
swallow all my pride
like a glass of
Chablis.
