Quatrain of Tongue Lashing
Tongue Lashing - to severely scold
Whip the words from thy
mouth as if they come
from the depths of
hell,
Toss them at my emotions
and allow them to strike
a frightened nerve
cell,
Blow the meaning of spite
right past my fear and
begin unprincipled
slashing,
Tis worse than a leather
strap on my back, a fierce
old fashioned tongue
lashing.
