Quatrain of Trusting Friends
Trusting Friends - be careful
To trust a friend is to verify his
moral intent, as though
you do not know
him,
What good is it for a man to
believe in a fellow man only
to be shafted on a
whim.
Thy trust in human nature comes
at birth, but it is an illusory
belief you must
unwrap,
Some doubt must remain within
the mind throughout life, to
be safe from a false
trap.
