Quatrain of You Were Right
You Were Right - I should have listened
In the midst of the contempt you
now have for me, I see a
barrier to a holy
belief,
You counted on me, to keep you
sailing toward goodness,
safe from life's lying
reef.
It was then our souls collided, like
two ships traveling in the
dark of a stormy
night,
I failed to keep you safe, I lost
sight of our love and all the
times you were
right.
