Reading - it can help, but it can
be curse

You can read until your face turns
blue, fill your mind with
hundreds of superfluous
ideas all day
long,

But if you don't learn how the world
really works your just filling your
mind with thoughts
that don't
belong.

You can quickly become a knowledgeable
idiot, too ravished by foolish
drivel and caught with
your pants
slipping,

It may be good to read all you can,
but it is unacceptable to think
you're learning what God
knows, without deserving
a whipping.
