Repentant Soul - work at it

It is the disgraced soul that
feels the hand of God
give a slap so
cruel,

No one wishes to have the
light upon them when
they have been a
fool,

In order to find yourself once
again in God's good
graces, pray real
hard,

Be disgraced too many times
and you well may find
your soul eternally
barred.
