Shiny Boots - where I go

I put myself in perfect harmony, I shaved
my thoughts to a shorter whimper,
I even dusted my boots
so they'd
shine,

I wanted God to know, I'll be darned if I
will go out of this world on merely
a promise the Devil will
be on a short
line.

I want to be reassured, the place I am
going is not like the place I am
leaving, it must be of gold
with all my wishes
granted,

There is no reason to leave this earth if a
better place I will not find; I pray
the place I'm going will be
a wonder and fully
enchanted.
