Simple Prayer - not easy

It's a long way up to the grace of God,
a long way to go if glory is
what you wish to
find,

It takes more than a simple prayer to
reach the mercy formally
needed to help
humankind.

If God had made it easy, you could
ask for redemption any old time,
God wouldn't care a tinker's
damn,

The next time you sin big time, think
about how hard it is to reach
God's benevolence,even with
