Smart Yesterday - don't bank on it

If you could take what you know
back five hundred years,
would you be seen
as ever so
smart?

What if you actually know less
than those around you,
couldn't tell anyone
where you got your
start.

The problem with thinking you are
smarter than your forefathers,
is the fact you weren't
there when they
were,

Those of yesteryear knew more
than most of us today -
knowledge was worshipped -
each was a learning
connoisseur.
