Quatrain of Hawaii
Hawaii (1959)
My thoughts of grandeur lie
anchored in the waters
soft and
warm,
The flight of worldly beauty
dancing with a drumbeat
to a meteor
swarm.
The gods of old, watching
as the lava flows, on its
way from far
below,
Tis, the ancient smell of fellowship, and it helps
Hawaiian angels
grow.
