Quatrain of Arizona
Arizona (1912)
Let the air sweep up my nostrils
as I breath in the
joy of being
alive,
Ancient valleys, dark souls,
traveling with prayers
doth honesty
thrive.
Comfort in this land unfettered,
where the animal kingdom
can live with
me,
Whispers I hear when the state
flag is raised, proud I
learned to be
free.
