Quatrain of Rhode Island
Rhode Island (1790)
When the Industrial Revolution
formed its beginning, I felt
akin to moral notions of
discipline,
I was configured to continue on,
as a settler of great works,
and moving a nation from
sin.
My heart was in Rhode Island,
a land from whence the textile
mills of grace once spun
love,
Tis where I shall now toil, in a
land of stitched thought, and
dawn an islanders noble
glove.
