Delaware (1787)

Delaware! Thy speed at which the
shores of happiness & wealth
slam against those not
free,

It is not the worst of nature,
it is the worst of passion
where so few ideas
agree.

A colony once, she joined the
richest Nation so it could
continue a national
goal,

To be the greatest State of
animated holiness, where men
with freedom have
control.
