Quatrain of Stepping Out

Stepping Out - when threatened

I stepped put of my comfort zone
just to see the other side
of the burdens I
carry,

What I saw, was not what is there
when I am comfortable
as the only
beneficiary.

As long as there are no threats to
my freedom, I live happily as
though I am on my
own,

But the minute my personal privileges
are held for ransom, I must step
out of contentment
and grow a
backbone.
