Stick & Carrot - a way to teach life

If you wish to teach someone the
way of life, use a
long stick and
carrot.

If your apprentice doesn't grab
a bite, smack their rear
and let them bare
it.

In order to show others the way
of the world, put the carrot
far away, just to
irk,

Better they learn how a stick feels
than be able to get a taste
of what it feels like not
to work.
