Straight Shooter - that's me

I do not need to be told what
to be thankful for, I'm a
straight shooter of the
heart.

Even God doesn't need to
advise my many choices,
I have a gut instinct,
a la carte.

It is of my own volition to know
what comes my way, I
know when to give
thanks,

No more lectures, I will always
be thankful for my intellectual
musket that shoots more
than blanks.
