I may have been the love of

I am thankful for the time we
had, but it was a tangled
web you
spun.

Although my heart was broken,
it was worth the time
spent without
question.

Next time, give me a heads up,
I'll better be able to judge
my response knowing I am
competing with someone
else's affection.
