Quatrain of The Criminal

The Criminal - that would be me

I illegally acquired my thoughts of
God the day I signed
into my spiritual
side,

I wasn't looking for the Creator,
I was searching for a
place my soul could
hide.

If I had never met the Devil, I
would not know God; I would
have not broken the
law,

But now that God and me are
good friends, legal or not,
I am glad I was born with
a criminal
flaw.
