Thought Journey - a long road

You can take a thought journey
down memory lane, you
can feel the old days
were the
best,

But, if truth be known, yester
year was not so grand,
our feelings tend to
grow at our
behest.

What we remember are days we
cannot get back, this makes
us melancholy and
thus, we
grieve,

The old days may have been real
fine, but they were never as
good as our memories
would let us
believe.
