To Satisfy - my love

When I give you a gift because
I like you, it is customary
to accept it with
grace,

But when I give my love, as a
gift to you, it is rejected,
without a single
embrace.

Let me declare a new custom,
to keep my love from being
looked at in
disgust.

This will give me a chance to
love whether you like it or
not, it will satisfy my
lust.
