To Understand - nothing but learning

All I ever wanted to do in life
was study philosophy,
but no one would
pay me a living
wage.

I had to settle for real work, it
ruined my life, philosophical
dreams left me as
if in a wild
rage.

Had I been able to do what my
soul intended, I might
know the meaning of
life, instead of
wondering,

Let me pray, when I get to heaven
I will be able to study for eternity
and come to understand
mankind's spiritual
plundering.
