Undressed Soul - hard to ignore

You came to me and undressed
your soul, hoping I might
see your
pain,

I felt compelled to run away,
instead, I tried to ease
your wanting
strain.

A naked soul is pure and loving,
it is very difficult to refuse
any help it
needs,

It is hard to concentrate on problems
at hand in front of an uncovered
soul, even harder to ignore
when it pleads,
