know if you were alive,
no need for
prayer,

There would be no ups, downs,
no ins, outs, blandness
would be in the
air,

If life were fair, being the best
would be like being the
worst at the same
time,

There would be no happiness, no
sadness, living would be
neither ignoble or
sublime.
